SS Dundee (1906-1917)
The British merchant vessel SS Dundee weighing 2,278 tonnes was built in 1892 by Caledon Shipbuilding & Engineering Co. Ltd, Dundee. At the time of her loss, she was owned by Canada Steamship Lines Ltd., Montreal.
On 31st January 1917, when en route from London to Swansea, SS Dundee was torpedoed by a German U-boat and sunk, ten miles NW of St Ives Head, Cornwall. Sadly, one crew member was lost in the attack.
