SS Greylock (1921-1943)
The SS Greylock was an American cargo ship of 7,460 tons, which was torpedoed by German submarine U-255 and wrecked at sea on 3 February, 1943.
When the survivors arrived back in the UK, the Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society provided 11 of them with £79/8s worth of financial support, which is the equivalent of £3,353.81 in today’s money.
